Mining
Mining is one of the five gathering skills players can choose on FantasyRP. Players can find mines throughout the continent, currently, there exist three distinguishable mines (North, South and West). The main focus, or goal, of a miner, is to find these mines and gather all the ores that can be found inside.
Ores work differently on FantasyRP to vanilla, once the ore is mined it will revert to a bedrock state, after dropping the ore to you, eventually (after a set time) it will respawn back into its original node so it may be harvested once more.

Each mine also has another "nation" section in it, this is owned by a nation and is barred by wooden doors. Within this is additional ore-nodes; you can attempt to break in using the "/lockpick" command or petition to the owning nation for the usage of their section of the mine.

Relation to Other Professions
Stonemason: Smelting raw ores grants one of the best ways to level up one’s stonemason level. Stonemasons bring out the best of what the mining skill provides, with a chance to trigger the “salvage crafts” effect, where some of the inputted materials in a craft will be saved. Stonemasons can also fully refine both mithril and steel ingots for smiths to use for armour or weapons.
Engineering: Gathering meteorite chunks from mining is a great source of experience for engineers by crafting blaze powder. Blaze powder is a very useful material for stonemasons, as it is a key ingredient in creating steel ingots. Many of the engineer items involve material gathered via mining, such as iron ingots. Engineers benefit greatly from trading with miners.
Armoursmithing & Metalsmithing: An obvious relation, the two smithing professions go very well with mining. Essentially, every item craftable by armoursmiths and metalsmiths requires ore such as iron, steel, and mithril. Miners aid heavily in armoursmithing and metalsmithing, seeing as both require materials miners are able to get so easily.
