“Darkness only awakens once one is free from the light…” Aesthadil
In the very ancient times, Aesthadil, a corrupted scholar was walking, seeking to find dead corpses, animals,... anything that may help him in summoning a wraith. He would enter a very dense forest, a forest that many believe to be the largest and most dangerous forest to ever exist in Enarion.. The adventurer would walk deep inside not knowing what he may encounter in his path. He would walk, and walk for days, even weeks, but the forest didn’t seem to end, all that he could see were giant dark trees clearly infected with the death plane forces. Months have now passed and the scholar is now lost deeply inside the forest, he didn’t know how to leave, or how to retrieve his path.. He was just there in the middle of nowhere. However while walking between the giant and visible roots of the trees, Aesthadil always had the strange feeling of being watched. But no it wasn’t a creature as no signs of any form of life, or even death. The forest was empty, it only had giant nearly dead trees, that’s it nothing more,.. Except for whatever was watching the necromancer.. During a very long and dark night, one where the moon was hidden behind the dark clouds unable to illuminate the forest even slightly, Aesthadil had to start a light in order to see, however and to his surprise he couldn’t find any flint and steel and all the wooden sticks around the forest are either wet, or simply dead unable to be burnt.. All that he could do was walk in a pitch black environment. Hours pass by, and the forest seemed darker and darker until the vision of Aesthadil went black, he couldn’t even recognize the trees, the roots, the dirt, nothing was there to be seen, and by that he decides to sit and wait for the night to pass and the morning to rise. However as soon as he sat, a strange visible aura would appear right in front of him, it had the shape of a very tall and very thin human, as the man was able to tell its shape with the slight contrast it creates. The man would jump back scared by what just appeared in front of him.. “What are you!” He would yell, very scared, pointing the tip of his mithril sword towards it. The aura hissed at him getting much darker and larger in size then would jump on him! The adventurer scared would swing his mithril sword towards it while it dashed in his direction, however the sword had no effect as the aura passed through it and even through the man’s body, all that he could see last was it’s dark hand with even darker claws tried to snatch his eyes. And the man has fallen unconscious… Aesthadil would slowly wake up feeling a pain in the back of his head as he seemed to have fallen on top of it, however when opening his eyes everything was very bright! He could nearly see anything due to the amount of light, it was even hurting his eyes.. The necromancer would run deeper in the woods trying to take shelter from the bright sun, but no use.. Even when hiding behind a tree everything seemed to be as bright as earlier, and it was at that exact moment that he realised that he no longer had eyes, all that is left is a hollow replacing them. The aura seemed to have taken his mortal vision..
A very dark creature resembling an aura as it can’t be seen well in the dark, it would have the shape of a very tall and very thin human, it would appear to have no face, only two very dark hollow circles as eyes and a dark hollow mouth filled with what seemed sharp teeth. It would have very long limbs with very dark and sharp claws.
Immortal as they aren't related by any means to the life and death planes.
Legends say that these creatures were banished from the ethereal plane, as no angel nor demon accepted them.
Silhouettes only live in the darkest and thickest of forest, as they only appear in the pitch black darkness.
These creatures are very curious beings, they would always follow any person walking in their territory, always watching and tracking them, and they will only show up once a year when no moon is visible and when darkness rules around the lands of Enarion. They like living in groups however one is lucky enough to see one or two. They also like exploring as they follow everyone and everything everywhere watching their every movement and listening to their every word, that’s why they have all the knowledge in the world, everything and one will be very lucky if one decides to give them a bit of it. However, these creatures are very hostile to light and yelling, and will attack anything creating these disturbances.
-Expand: These creatures are able to expand their size to even become larger than the tallest of mountains.
-Snatch: The creature would perform a dash towards the target, snatching any of the opponent's organs or limbs and replacing it with a silhouette form. Snatch also causes the attacked to faint away for a hole day [1 hour ooc] before waking up and realising what happened.
-N/A, however it might teach you any knowledge you were seeking to learn, just about anything if you manage to make it talk.
