Deep within the hells of Enarion lies a cold unlike anything before-seen. A true cold - A true freeze, one that goes beyond your bones and skin, piercing into the depths of your chest, stopping your heart as it beats. This true cold has few names, but is nonetheless akin to a living, hungering creature, dwelling within the accursed, gurgling pools of death and rot that exist within the underworld. By the grace of the gods, may you benumbed before your eyes find themselves cloaked by the glacial frost that persists beneath the earth;

Stygian Ice.

Colder than even glacial depths, and as strong as mithril, Stygian Ice exists in the underworld of Enarion, supposedly upon the banks of the damned where mortals go to wash their rage, mind, and soul away. With almost ethereal power, it can freeze any living thing to the bones with haste. Being, of course, as strong as reinforced mithril, it's durability is unquestionable, even in the depths of hell. Touching it, merely, can freeze a limb solid, and being near such ice saps the beat from your heart as you stand.

There are tales told of undead creatures who have forged with the mortally deadly ice, creating armor, weapons, and tools from it's form that allow them to flay the flourishing forests of the living with even more fear to their blades; The strikes created by swords and spears of this material create a growing frost on the wound, severely harming mortal kind and life-aligned creatures - Fire elementals are often instantaneously felled by the blades of Stygia, giving the elemental forces of flame an even greater reason to fear it's frost.

Furthermore, armor and tools created from Stygian forges must be grinded over the course of days, months - Years, if a mere mortal even so much as attempts to craft with it. And should they create something .. This frost will come with pain. Although powerful, the frost spreads along the formation of anything living or otherwise not undead, preventing most non-dead creatures from donning these crafts. These same crafts, however, grant an almost backbiting effect .. The frost that they are made of rapidly forms on whatever might strike it, freezing the hands of the creature holding it with pain, and likely causing them to drop or disarm themselves to keep from losing their fingers.

Stygian ice is not to be confused with enchanted ice, that of which is something more water-aligned than death-aligned, and primarily produced by, say, an ice elemental. Emitting dim blue light, enchanted ice is not as durable as mithril, but rather as much as iron, capable of striking with immense power against the forces of flame; Critically injuring fire elementals or their relatives. When crafted into armor, it is similar to Stygian ice, granting resilience against heat and fire, but unable to "bite back", unless the glacial elemental is strong enough .. This ice, too, can be donned by mortals, as opposed to Stygian ice wounding those who are alive, and it solely now wounds fire elementals who attempt to use such.

As a whole, stygian ice along with enchanted ice should be very well avoided, as both contain the capability to wound mythical flame-aligned creatures. This should not be confused with cold iron, though, as the two are similar but not to be mixed up. Be wary of the forces of death, too, as their commanders may contain the capability to forge with or wield stygian weaponry, and could possibly fell even strong warriors with the armor and tools created from them.

Event / Lore Bulletpoints;

Enchanted Ice:

- Aesthetics .. Emits dim blue light in darkness, alongside a cool mist, and has an aura of cold around it, akin to a refrigerator. Cold, but not capable of harming someone with it's chill.
- Strength .. It is as durable as iron, as both tools and armor, and does critical damage to fire-aligned creatures, spirits, and entities, no matter their strength. It also grants fire resistance against fire, heat, and even magical heat, if used as defenses or armor.
- Handling .. Requires 3 triple-append emotes (or 9 normal emotes) to forge with, and must be forged over the course of one IRL day or one IC month. A smith can only make one Enchanted Ice utility per IRL day. Requires a special forging process of chiseling or grinding.

Stygian Ice;
- Aesthetics .. Emits no light, and has a black coloration, but it does exude a constant cold mist and powerful cold aura around it.
- Strength .. It is as durable as mithril in both tools and armor. It's very well capable of harming any living thing with contact, much less being cut with the object, numbing and covering the point of contact in painful, thorn-like frost. Simply touching stygian ice inflicts freezer-burn on living flesh. Critically wounding fire-aligned and life-aligned creatures if they are struck with it, as well. If used as defenses or armor, it very heavily resists heat and "bites back" by forming ice on whatever hits it, likely making the object more fragile or causing pain.
- Handling .. Requires 10 triple-append emotes (or 30 normal emotes) to forge with, and must be forged over the course of one IRL day. A smith can only make one Enchanted Ice utility per IRL day. Requires magical tools to forge with.
