    Yes and No. Yes to that lorewise exists or at least EXISTED. No to how limited it would be, nobody really made much engineering progress, aside for me of course I have invented mercury

    Steam power shouldn't be allowed since its too advanced, but some machines slip through the cracks for the purposes of roleplay. Contact the tech LT lead before you even begin to mess with steam so you don't waste your time.

    I believe a dwarf made a steam engine nearly a year ago, but didn't contact lore team about it and had it removed iirc.

    We have a problem, the player base is dying, not growing, I haven’t seen a new application in a few months, I have seen multiple people leave though, we need to figure this out! (I’m probably over reacting, but you get my point)

    I semi-migrated over from REDACTED because FRP actually stays ontop of keeping shit repaired, and FRP isn't full of a lot of sensitive snowflakes. If you want to help, vote daily! Maybe talk to some admins about ideas for advertising, or what you can do to bring in new players.

    the server is stale, there's nothing new ever plugin-wise and the server is constantly on a status quo development and event wise from what I see on the forums. i left when dewper left because I knew immediately that there would never be any new plugins or balance changes, all devs are volunteer and you can't force them to commit, economy has stopped because there's too much going in and nothing leaving, it got to a point of no return... the problem isn't advertising, but rather, how do you plan on keeping the players if you advertise since there's nothing new, ever.

    Please stop applying to staff roles, when I say this, I speak on behalf of most of the other team leads. When we are selecting members to join our teams we look for people which are active on the server, and have valuable skills that they can commit to the team. Repetively applying to teams will not change the outcome until such requirements are met, and if need be I will suspend the account, as it both wastes our time, but also others which read the one or two sentences submitted.

    If you are going to apply to a team, atleast put effort into the application.

    I mean, when it comes to wanting to be staff. You need to commit to one thing. Personally I want to help out with events a lot and provide them to the players, that's why I applied to ET. For you it looks like you want to be staff for the sake of it, like applying to dev Staff despite aware that it requires to know coding

    You still owe this server nothing. All it gave were people to talk to and a medium to roleplay on. I don't know what had gone on in your life prior to joining this server, but playing on this server, no matter what it fixed, does not make you indebted to it. If you roleplay on the server, then that's surely enough.

    Or if I'm being real, just play the server dude. No one should feel obligated to repay the server in anyway. It's a fricken minecraft server fam. If I'm totally honest, a lot of us came on this server because we were stuck in quarantine and were all in some low part of our lives, at least I was. People come here to have a fun time and people should treat this server like any other server, except that you probably get closer with others. I'd say don't worry about it broski, people here will support you and honestly your activity on the server is appreciated already.

    Also... have an outside life man too. I was totally obsessed with this stuff (it's def not bad to love this server) and I was left with a terrible life style, terrible sense of what was around me, horrible social life, and it was SO much harder to get back into the real world. I know irl can be a shit show and that's why a lot of the players left or on breaks, but people on this server will continue to support you no matter your choice. All I'm saying, don't be obsessed with this server or even try really hard to, idk, achieve that thing you want to repay. Shit like this will be a major stepping stone in your life but don't let it be the anchor that holds you down. Support the server sure, but also just know that people already appreciate the way you care for this place as much as they do.

    The best thing you can do is play on the server and give it activity !! Staff positions are fine and dandy, but truthfully the most helpful thing that can be done is helping keep to a consistent playerbase.
